And finally the deathly Poison Ivy is done! Took a lot of time getting the colours to work, and I think its still not quite right. But I don't want to overwork it, so I'm posting it! Really enjoyed doing this one, and had a lot of fun posing in front of the mirror ha! Think its interesting to note, that sometimes I'll have a rough planned, like here. And the drawing can take on a life of its own. I really thought I had the colour pallet down, but it grew and evolved. (Much like Poison Ivy's vines!)

Aaaaaand I just noticed I forgot the Bat-signal, woops! Although, not sure if it really needs it, there's already so much going on. Might go back to it later.
This is great! very atmospheric and i love the creepy vine hands clawing at the buildings.
ReplyDeleteAw thanks a mill John! Yeah I thought the creepy hands where a nice touch myself ;)
DeleteYeah the foreground is really creepy and dark, I also really like the white that you left on the borders. Kind of would've liked to see Poison Ivy creeping out of the darkness herself instead of her being the lightsource...but that's just because I like evil characters :D Looking forward to see if you decide to continue with these female comicbook characters.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave! Yeah I get what you mean about her creeping out of the shadows, originally I was planning that.. But I wanted to switch it up a little ;) she creates life, she's like a living breathing sun in my mind
DeleteWhich in a way doesn't make her sound like too much of a villain I guess ;) haha
DeleteHaha, all good villains are heroes in their own mind :)
