West Side Story buzz!

God I love this film! As a child I grew up going to drama and dance lessons, so this film (along with other greats like The Sound of Music) where like my Bible haha. I re-watched the film again recently after I saw Google commemorate Saul Bass. (he did the credits) I did this painting in a slight art deco vibe.. which is the current theme on The Irish Sketch Society on facebook. Enjoyed doing this!

Photo Studies

Some photo studies I did a while back. Kept everything on one/two layers MAX to not get too precious...and tried to paint alot quicker. Each one took around 20 mins

We all agreed on a muted pallet, so I tried to push the few colours I had as far as possible, using orange/yellow/brown/black.

Loved designing the backgrounds for the video, took some inspiration from Samurai Jack esp with the skies.

This is a music video I worked on with Claire Cominsky, Joe Maher and Eoin Kinsella. I did the storyboards with Eoin, and I designed the backgrounds. Ill post up the work I did for this project soon. It felt great to work in a different style compared to what I'm currently doing in work. Enjoy!

Cute Girl with Kitten!

(hopefully) Does what it says on the tin! Been a loooong time since I drew characters.. buts its a breath of fresh air from doing the backgrounds.. I want to do more in the future!
